One of the screw side need to be taper as I forcefully screw in, resulting the screw slot thread being lost. You can also use cable tie to secure the side. No problem with that too.

Do you think my blog has a very general or rather messy categorization?

I think it is.

But to go and re-categorized them, I feel so procrastinate. Going to take some time given that I have start blogging since 2008. 2 years worth of “gold”.

The problem of my Samsung monitor was blogged over here.

I called up Samsung to check if my LCD monitor is still under warranty. Luckily it was…

But unfortunately, time and efforts are wasted as I failed to pry open my monitor casing.

The best part about Samsung is they send a technician to my house and replace my whole LCD panel understanding that I need to use it urgently. Out of goodwill gesture, they still honor the warranty despite i tried to pry open the casing which could void the warranty.

It is also good that I failed to open up the casing, since removing the dead bug is impossible as the panel could not be split apart, explaining why there was a need to replace the whole LCD panel.

Overall, I am very happy with their after-sales service. Definitely will buy Samsung monitor in future!

Reckon Samsung too!

Apparently, an insect managed to crawl into my widescreen LCD monitor.

I was watching animation while this little creature crawl around, irritating me. Initially I thought it was crawling outside of the panel, so I tried brushing it. But it just won’t came off!

Then I realized it was stuck inside. Because I was brushing too hard, the insect got compressed by the LCD panel, instant death inside.

It die, never mind. The thing is its corpse is stuck inside, making as if my monitor has a dead pixel on it.

I am so fucking pissed off!!! Can’t seem to shake to remove its corpse. I do not want to dismantle my whole LCD just to remove its corpse.

Any ideas?

With reference from the speeding ticket that I got as mentioned on the earlier post, my appeal failed miserably again.

This is their reply to my appeal:

Please be informed that we have reviewed your case and noted that a traffic offence has been disclosed. Traffic Police takes a serious view of such offences as it can lead to road traffic accidents resulting in injury or loss of life. As such, we regret to inform you that your appeal is not successful.

We would like to urge you to make conscious effort to comply with all the traffic rules and regulations which are made for your own safety and that of other road users.

This time round, they send this letter as a registered mail to my house. Was quite surprise as I didn’t receive past letter as a registered mail. I think because as this would be a court case if I didn’t pay the fine on time, they are “kiasu” that I wouldn’t know of the result.

I found out that for last year and this year end, I have contribute a total of $270 to Mr Traffic Police. I don’t know to count myself unlucky or not? Always happened towards the end of the year.

Nonetheless, the morale of the story is try not to commit any offences. Traffic Police are everywhere and you may not notice them. Sometime, the fine is hefty and may carries deduction of demerit points, especially speeding.

As imprints behind on every Traffic Police letter, “Speeding No.1 Road Killer, Think before you speed”.
